Tutorial: Using DNG presets in Lightroom Mobile

DNG presets are basically sample images in which the editing settings are already saved. Lightroom Mobile can read these settings and create its own preset from them. This works completely without a desktop – ideal if you want to save looks quickly and apply them to many photos.

Step 1: Download and import the DNG

Tap the download link under the desired image.
Save the file to your smartphone.
Open Lightroom Mobile.
Tap on Import or the +-icon.
Select the downloaded DNG file.

Step 2: Create a preset from the DNG

Open the imported DNG photo.
Tap the menu (usually three dots).
Choose Create preset.
Give the preset a name and save it ideally in its own group.

Step 3: Apply the preset to your own photos

Open one of your own photos in Lightroom.
Go to Presets.
Choose your new preset.
Fine-tuning: Slightly adjust exposure, white balance, or contrast.

Important: Every original photo reacts a bit differently to the same look. The best results come when, after applying the preset, you quickly adjust 1–2 sliders.
